Hi,

There are already a number of Social Enterprise Recruitment companies existing. Women like us, Pace Recruitment, Slivers of time and now Move Recruitment.
I was a recruitment consultant in the private sector for over 12 years and decided to do it differently. I know most RC’s are just in it for the money, but there are a few of us that aren’t.

Prospect-Us is a specialist; Bright Green Talent is specialising in green / eco-related / ethical jobs. Action Planning do recruitment for the sector also.

Also there are Third Sector Jobs / NCVO’s new jobs site, along with the Guardian’s. Not to mention Charity Job, Charity People etc….

Increasingly some of the bigger headhunters are used also by medium / large non-profits….Odgers, Ray and Berndtson do loads of public sector / non-profit stuff.

Market will only increase, one would assume

You have my sympathies for attempting to navigate the treacherous business support waters….

My understanding is that the eBusiness Club is a business support programme, so you will need to participate in a training event, then develop an Action Plan, and finally apply for funding. You might find Rachel Baberstock a useful first point of contact to learn more : rachel@emcc.org.uk

Ironically, business support services in the East Midlands are being “simplified” – your experience would indicate that it hasn’t been overly successful to date?
